HOW THE CORONA VIRUS DISEASE (COVID-19) IS AFFECTING THE NIGERIA ECONOMY

The outbreak of the corona virus disease is causing a lot of unrest in Nigeria and the world at large. The corona virus disease is not a joke; lots of lives have been lost since its outbreak. The prevalence of corona virus is outrageous in the European and the Asian countries. Countries like Italy, USA, Iran and England have had a higher number of cases and deaths compared to other countries of the world.

The economy of all the counties affected has not being the same; there have fast decline in the graph of the GDP of European countries mentioned above.

The situation interms of the fall in the GDP is the same in Nigeria since the economy of Nigeria is importation dependent compared to the 3rd world countries.

The nature of the effect of the corona virus disease (COVID-19) can be seen in some Undergraduate Project Topics that is based on secondary data.

There have been some preventive measure recommended to the world including Nigeria by the W.H.O; some of the most used methods are staying at home and social distancing. The aim of these recommendations was to ensure the safety of people in Nigeria and the rest of the world.

The Nigeria economy will only survive or stabilize when people stay healthy and alive. God bless Nigeria!!!
